2021 Lab proponent ARM-Harith has announced the first close of its Climate Transition Fund at approximately USD 76 million, marking a significant milestone for a financial solution whose investment strategy was developed through the Lab in 2021 under the name ACT Fund (ARM-Harith Cities & Climate Transition Fund).
The fund is targeting USD 200 million at final close and is the first integrated multi-currency blended finance platform designed to mobilize African institutional investors into energy transition and climate-resilient infrastructure across Sub-Saharan Africa. The first close includes USD 20 million in catalytic capital from FSD Africa Investments and the African Development Bank’s Sustainable Energy Fund for Africa (SEFA).
The announcement highlights the continued progress of Lab-supported solutions from design to implementation and capital mobilization.
