The P-REC Aggregation Fund, a 2021 Lab instrument, was recently featured in ReliefWeb for its success in facilitating renewable energy development in fragile settings. The proponent, Energy Peace Partners (EPP), has built key partnerships through extensive trust-building and significant time investments to create a growing number of Peace Renewable Energy Credit (P-REC) transactions. The reported pipelined of projects being discussed by EPP could raise the total value of P-REC deals to reach USD 800,000. With these encouraging results, EPP has been awarded a Transition to Scale grant to help execute an additional eight P-REC transactions totaling USD 1.5 million.
