In a guest article for ImpactAlpha, Marilyn Waite, climate finance leader and Managing Director of Capital for Sustainability, featured two Lab alumni as standout climate investment opportunities in the Global South. The article spotlights 2024 Lab alumnus Mzansi Clean Energy Capital, whose Clean Utilities for Affordable Housing instrument expands access to renewable energy in South Africa, and Regenera Ventures, also a member of the Lab’s 2024 cohort, which invests in regenerative agriculture companies in Mexico. The two Lab alumni are among the examples Waite highlights to illustrate the growing investment opportunities across the Global South, which she argues holds “some of the best bets for getting climate finance at scale.”
