McDonald’s Corporation is the latest company to join the Responsible Commodities Facility (RCF), a 2018 Lab instrument that provides financial incentives for soy production on existing cleared and degraded lands, helping prevent further deforestation in the Brazilian Cerrado. Through this commitment, McDonald’s will provide funding to support the resilient transformation of Brazil’s soy-producing Cerrado region, specifically addressing embedded soy volumes in chicken feed sourced outside the United States and Canada.
With new companies joining from the 2026–2027 season, including McDonald’s, the fund is expected to reach an estimated USD 100 million, significantly increasing its environmental impact.
