On 12 February, 2015, Finance for Resilience (FiRe) co-hosted a workshop with one of its last year’s winners, Suzanne Buchta from Bank of America Merrill Lynch (BAML) and her colleagues. The workshop aimed to educate and generate discussion and debate among key pension fund advisors in the UK on the topic of green bonds and their potential role in pension fund portfolios.

The workshop was held at the Office of BAML in the City of London and lasted two hours. The event was opened by presentations on green bonds and clean energy investment by BNEF and BAML. The second half of the workshop was dedicated to a round-table discussion on green bonds and their use in pension fund portfolios. The participants included BAML, FiRe, BNEF, Mercer, Deloitte, Bank of England, Aon Hewitt and Bfinance.
