Climate Investor Two (CI2) is a blended finance facility managed by Climate Fund Managers (CFM), aiming to mobilize private capital for climate-resilient infrastructure projects in emerging markets. This month, with a decade-long track record of scaling up, CFM and Société Des Energies Nouvelles signed a USD 3 million development funding agreement, according to Africa Private Equity News.

CI2 builds on the structure and success of Climate Investor One (CIO), developed under the Lab program in 2015. It specializes in sectors such as water, sanitation, and ocean infrastructure, addressing the impacts of climate change and enhancing resilience. The Fund combines concessional capital from public-sector donors with private investment to absorb risks and provide early-stage project development services.
